学校简介
英国利兹贝克特大学的历史可追溯到1824年利兹理工学院的成立，建校历史近200年，是一所名副其实的百年老校。原名Leeds Metropolitan University英国利兹城市/都会大学，于2014年9月正式更名为Leeds Beckett University。作为英国教育局的重要组成部分，大学为当地的教育作出了重要贡献，为利兹经济发展贡献超过5.52亿英镑。利兹贝克特大学是规模最大的国立大学和最受欢迎的高等院校之一，曾在whatsuni.com 的全英优秀大学评选中排名第四,英格兰第二, 是前十名中唯一的一所现代英国大学。
大学十分注重课程与实践的结合，是英国大学中与当地社区合作最紧密的大学之一，为学生提供大量带薪实习以及Part-time Job的机会。
大学拥有一流的教学设施，六年内投入总额超过2亿英镑。目前拥有两个校区，其中城市校区City Campus位于市中心，为学生实习和就业提供了便利的条件。校园内的“广播大楼” 在2010年被芝加哥的高楼和都市居所协会(Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, CTBUH)评选为“世界最佳高楼”。而海丁利校区（Headingley Campus）位于漂亮的利兹郊外，距离市中心仅4.8公里，屹立于美丽悠扬的公园高地上，校区内的建筑可追溯到1752年。学校拥有一流的体育设施(其中包括室内游泳馆,网球场,篮球,排球以及健身房)，是2012年伦敦奥运会中国田径代表队的备战地。

会展、旅游与酒店管理学院的学生无论是本科或是研究生均为学生提供实习，最高可达48周带薪实习。课程受联合国世界旅游组织、英国专业会议组织者协会等多家专业机构认证。学院的课程由大学英国会展管理中心和旅游与酒店管理中心提供。同时与全球知名酒店、体育赛事组委会、景点、旅游运营商、航空公司、乡村俱乐部等保持机密合作，拥有专门的团队帮助学生更快更精准的找到适合自己的实习和工作。

住宿及接机服务(Accommodation & Airport pickup)
英国利兹贝克特大学承诺保证为每一个在2月1日至7月31日之间提交申请国际学生提供宿舍，同时会在指定时间提供免费的接机服务，具体详情可联系大学中国代表处。
疫情下的举措 ( Response measures under the epidemic)
大学第一时间帮助决定在2020年9月前往英国的新生安排好了“各地接机”以及“隔离住宿”，让大家能在最便利最舒适的完成初到英国的过度阶段。在特殊时期里大学已经从衣食住行多方面考虑，为大家的生活提供最大程度的便利。对于对疫情有所担忧的同学及家长，大学积极研发的远程一对一教学辅导，帮助大家更好的完成线上学习。对于抵英的同学，最大程度的，在完全安全的前提下，大学安排了至少每两周一次的两个小时的线下交流，帮助大家尽可能的感受到留学的意义。针对此次疫情，大学在第一时间专门制作了一个官方专栏，整理了所有的相关信息，希望能更好的帮助大家。该页面包括了大学教学计划变更、自我隔离防治指导以及一些热门问题的回答等各个方面的信息，对国际学生的建议和指导，都可以在大学关于COVID-19的专题页面上找到。https://www.leedsbeckett.ac.uk/COVID19/对于在读学生，大学反应敏捷，在第一时间全面推广使用了线上教学系统，确保大家健康安全。在疫情爆发初期就开始着手制定各专业的远程评估考核方案，让考核评估可以通过远程的方式在任何可能的地方进行。同时延长了最近所有作业考评的截止日期。大学重新升级了MyBeckett线上学习系统，帮助大家更好的居家自学。学术老师定时在线上为学生答疑指导论文，学生也可以通过专题页面寻求更多的学术支持。http://libguides.leedsbeckett.ac.uk/subject_support校园宿舍持续为国际学生开放，并为大家进行定期消毒。为学生开设了心理辅导

整个疫情阶段大学做到了确保在考试、录取资格要求以及英语语言测试方面给大家提供最大的灵活性。同时对申请材料进行了简化，最大程度的方便每一个申请人。大学在第一时间开发了线上语言课程，将10周和5周的语言班转为线上，以此缓解疫情为大家带来的影响。大学首次接受非UKVI雅思及Duolingo线上英语测试申请语言班及学位课程。大学还为新生设计了“Talk to a Student”系统，该系统可以让新生直接与我们的在校学生直接进行沟通，或者通过访问他们的博客了解他们的生活学习状态和经历。
